Democrats deliver free public education and outlaw child labor.

An Educated America is a Strong America

Position statement:  Democrats believe that a good quality, free education is the birthright of every American and the cornerstone of our democracy.  Democrats have led the way in initiating preschool programs, providing job training, and expanding college opportunities. We believe that an educated America is a strong America.

By contrast, radical Republicans gain power and control of the masses when the education of our children is limited to religious and strict private schools.  They actively encourage the deterioration of our public school system in favor of vouchers and other incentives that move children away from broad knowledge to narrow dogma.

Make "frame sandwiches" using any of these values:

  • Freedom

  • Democracy

  • Opportunity

  • Strength

  • Security

  • Wealth

  • Patriotism

Repeat these ready-made frames:   "Put Kids First"; "Democrats Put Kids First"; "Our Future, Our Children"
Use these themes:   An educated America is a strong America; Education is wealth; Quality of life; Freedom and democracy depend on educated citizens; Level playing field for all Americans begins with access to high quality, free education; "Democrats are the party of education results"
Reframe using these concepts:  "No Child Left Behind" reframed to "More Children Left Behind" or "No Child Left Behind — a Mess!"; "The Anti-Education President"
Contrast using these words:  "Radical Republicans believe children should be seen and not heard —especially when they grow up!";
Avoid repeating these words:   "No Child Left Behind"; "Education President" (?!); "Compassionate Conservative" (?!); Vouchers as "choice"
